Biography
A Career Built on Clinical Excellence
Dr. Shane Khan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a subspecialty in Fetal Medicine, bringing an internationally trained perspective to the diagnosis and management of complex obstetric conditions. His postgraduate medical education was undertaken in the United Kingdom, where he completed his training in obstetrics and gynaecology and achieved Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG).
Following his UK training, Dr. Khan pursued advanced fellowship training in Fetal Medicine through a Clinical Fellowship recognised by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). This subspecialty training equipped him with expertise in the sonographic assessment of fetal anatomy, Doppler surveillance of high-risk pregnancies, prenatal diagnosis, and the coordination of multidisciplinary care for families navigating complex antenatal findings.
Dr. Khan's clinical practice is informed by a commitment to evidence-based care delivered with cultural humility and genuine compassion. He has worked in diverse clinical environments across multiple healthcare systems, and he understands the value of tailored communication in helping patients and referring clinicians navigate complicated clinical decisions with confidence and clarity.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Khan contributes to postgraduate medical education and maintains an active interest in clinical research, with a particular focus on non-invasive prenatal testing, fetal growth assessment, and perinatal outcomes in high-risk pregnancies. He is committed to advancing the standard of fetal medicine care available to families in the communities he serves.
